- Ubisoft Montreal
- Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, PC
- Third-Person Adventure
Finally! Okay, that may have sounded far more exasperated than necessary, but after waiting since before the game actually launched, and through two DLC release announcements, it’s nice to finally see a concrete release date for the first part of The Tyranny of King Washington episodic DLC for Assassin’s Creed III. Adding a nice extra touch to each episode, rather than simply call each one “Part 1, Part 2, etc.”, each episode will have its own name – Episode 1 being The Infamy. It will release on February 19th for Xbox 360 and PC, and on the 20th for Playstation 3, for 800 Microsoft Points/$9.99, or “free” (pre-paid) as part of the Season Pass.
The Infamy introduces us to this alternate reality, in which George Washington takes hold of power to become king, with Connor/Ratonhnhaké:ton waking from an unsettling dream only to find that his efforts to bring justice and peace to the newly-founded United States of America have been in vain, and that Washington has been crowned king. And from there, he starts his journey to dethrone King Washington. Expect the following two DLC announcements to feature the final two episodes in this three-part story, as there are only two Season Pass portions left.
