Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment officially announced the release date for NetherRealm Studios’ upcoming, highly anticipated DC Universe fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us today. Alongside the announcement was the unveiling of a Battle Edition of the game for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions, featuring a Fight Stick. Injustice: Gods Among Us will be releasing on April 16th, in standard, Collector’s and Battle Editions.
The Collector’s Edition will include an exclusive DC Collectibles statue featuring Batman, Wonder Woman, a rather odd (or, I suppose, minimalist) representation of the Fortress of Solitude and “the Last Son of Krypton’s escape ship”, a special collector’s edition of the comic book based on the game (a digital version of which has become available today), a copy of the Justice League: Doom animated film, and three exclusive skins based on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from DC Comics’ The New 52 series. And all that, on either Xbox 360 or Playstation 3, for $99.99.
The Battle Edition will run you $149.99, and comes with the Fight Stick and the skins, but it tosses out the copy of the film and comic book.
