Wreck-it Ralph was oozing with sugary sweetness. From the story and the characters, to the candy coated environments, the movie spent its time whacking you over the head with a rather endearing candy cane. And for my fellow gamers out there, the movie had tons of references for you to pick up on (it even had a few subtle movie references too). However, aside from being saccharine and full of allusions, the movie lacked oomph. I found I was forcing giggles more than genuine laughter, and, at almost two hours, it was too long. It’s cutely fun, but nothing special.

Verdict: Wait for the DVD/Blu-ray
