Scribblenauts Unlimited, much like its predecessors, has a lot of fun potential. However, I don’t know how I feel about it on a console, as I happen to think it works better as a handheld game. But, seeing as how the controller is a handheld device, this game allows you not just to play it in the palm of your hands, but also broadens the scope to a much more social experience.
One of the greatest features of the game, that I have come to love, is the wealth of items you can summon at any given time. And having it on the big screen opens up the randomness to everyone around you. It’s like a game of Blurt, but the things you shout can actually be realized on the screen. For example, at the event, myself and another fellow attempted to generate as many video game characters as possible. It was surprising how many were available.
I won’t pass judgement until I get to sit down and play it for an extended period of time, but for now I will say that any game that allows you to conjure up a flaming elephant is definitely doing something right.
