Another misleading headline for the Rock Band update? Yes! But nowhere near as confusing as last week’s, because there actually are six new tracks coming in next week’s Music Store update. Harmonix is releasing the extra tracks in celebration of the Rock Band franchise’s fifth anniversary. They just won’t be available as a track pack because they’re all singles, and it’s quite the eclectic group too. You’ve got Cold by Crossfade, I Melt with You by Modern English, Closer by Nine Inch Nails, Cry Thunder by Dragonforce, plus Pro guitar and bass upgrade compatible versions of The Band’s The Weight (Live) and Jessica by The Allman Brothers Band. Additionally, all of the tracks, excluding Cold, are Keyboard compatible as well.

The tracks will be releasing this coming Tuesday, November 20th, for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii, for their usual $2 USD equivalent each. Meanwhile, the Pro upgrade is its usual $1 USD equivalent per compatible track.
