Last night in Toronto, at the Palais Royale ballroom, Playstation Canada held its annual Holiday Preview event for all things Playstation, giving Torontonian fans the opportunity to get a hands-on look at some of the major titles that will be making their way to PS3 and Vita by, and a little beyond, the holiday season. And even with the tough-to-reach venue, a large number of fans made it out to show their support and excitement over the upcoming titles. As one might have expected for the first-party titles, Playstation All Stars: Battle Royale drew a lot of attention (thankfully, there were two systems for that game), and God of War: Ascension had a constant throng of onlookers. A number of people also appeared quite curious as to what The Unfinished Swan was all about.

Some third-party titles drew quite the crowd as well, particularly Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which I was lucky enough to sit with for a couple of minutes (swift, slice-happy action), Hitman: Absolution and Assassin’s Creed III, which was offering up time with Naval Warfare multiplayer. Downstairs, in the Vita Lounge, things were more subdued, so I tried my hand at LittleBigPlanet. In short, it’s little-big-highly-creative fun.
