As you may already be aware, Nintendo held a big preview event for its upcoming Wii Uconsole in New York last week. As expected, all of the major details about the console’s price, release date and package options were unveiled. Wii U will hit North American retailers on Sunday, November 18th, in Basic or Deluxe packages, priced at $299.99 USD/CAD and $349.99 USD/CAD respectively. The Basic Set will be white, with 8GB of internal storage, one GamePad, a sensor bad and an HDMI cable, plus all of the necessary AC adapters. The Deluxe Set will come in black, with all of the Basic Set accessories, plus a total storage capacity of 32GB, a copy of Nintendo Land, a console stand, a GamePad charging cradle and enrollment in the Deluxe Digital Promotion program, which lets owners collect points for every digital download they purchase, for use toward future downloadable content from the Nintendo eShop.
Additionally, between launch day and March 31, 2013 (what Nintendo considers the launch window), over 50 games are currently set to release for Wii U, giving a lot of options for players of all ages. For more on Wii U, and to see some of those games, check out www.nintendo.com/wiiu.
