In terms of Jason Statham flicks, Safe falls somewhere between The Mechanic and Crank. It packed a far bigger kick to the face than the former, but it wasn’t as adrenaline fueled as the latter. Now the story may have been plain awful, but that’s not why you’re watching a Statham movie. You’re watching it to see how many different ways he can pummel the living snot out of everyone! And sure there were dry moments, but when this movie delivered, it did so to the point where I found myself loudly whispering things like “NICE!” and “OOOHHH!” with glee.

Verdict: Wait for the DVD/Blu-ray

This movie is a pretty big dud IMO. On a “did you know note” though, Kevin Spacey is one of the producers and I wonder how much he was actually involved. Did you know: even though Statham stunk in this movie, he really never did end up having “that shower” …you’ll see….. Figure out later what i meant by this because….

This latest offering with tough guy J.S. won’t last long at the theaters since it’s pretty far-fetched and dragged all over the place with “far-fetchedness” lol.

One thing not acceptable in this day and age is the slur of ethnic slander and this movie had ’em (you’ll see). Also, I wonder why they had Russians playing the other batch of bad guys since this too has been done to death

Very disappointed with this movie and I expected better. 2 stars out of 5

Sorry I forgot to post a review from Wednesday’s screening of this movie. From what I can remember, my hubby and I really enjoyed Safe. I’m not usually for action movies but I like the way Jason Statham acted in this one, although I haven’t seen him in any other movies. I found it interesting a quite comical, the most I’ve laughed in any other action movie. I would give it out 3.5, it was just a lot better than the movie Lockout… now don’t even get me started on that one.
