In a bid to promote all of its recent Xbox Live value-added content applications, Microsoft announced today that this weekend, Thursday, April 19th through Monday, April 23rd, it will be running a free Xbox Live Gold weekend for all Xbox Live members. What makes this particular Free Gold Weekend any different than any other one? If not for the extras Microsoft and its promotional partners have added on in the hopes that you’ll subscribe, not much. Actually, even with those extras that’s still not a whole lot… extra. During the weekend Xbox Live members will get access to all baseball games available in the MLB.TV App, plus a free 48-hour pass to the Real Sports GOLTV Canada HD channel for the Real Madrid vs. Barcelona game this Saturday, April 21st at 1:55 pm Eastern Standard Time.

Of course, this wouldn’t be much of a promotional announcement with the inclusion of some kind of list of the apps, so…

Astral Media’s Disney XD
Crackle
Dailymotion
MSN
Real Sports
Netflix
Rogers On Demand Online
TMZ
UFC on Xbox Live
VEVO
YouTube
MLB.TV

I know that at least one of these apps is actually enjoyable, because I use it occasionally. I’ll let you guess which one.
