Today, Ubisoft announced the multiplayer beta launch date for the latest installment in the Ghost Recon franchise, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Running from April 19th through May 2nd, the beta will allow up to 12 simultaneous players (per match, not across the whole system, obviously (though that would likely make things quite competitive)) the chance to play as one of three classes – Rifleman, Engineeer and Scout – and take part in either the Conflict mode or Saboteur mode. Both modes will be offering single rounds of 10 minutes each. Conflict is an objective and points-based mode, while Saboteur (launching April 26th) places a bomb in a central location of the map, which players must retrieve and detonate at their opponent’s base.

Additionally, for people who just can’t seem to get enough of Ghost Recon, Ubisoft also announced that it will be launching the Ghost Recon Network. The Network will allow players to access their profiles on the go, as well as customize and share in-game weapons with a mobile version of Gunsmith. They can even unlock exclusive rewards. Oh, and it’s free, so that’s nice. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be releasing on May 22nd for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, and June 12th for PC.
