Remember this? (Look at the thumbnail to the left, silly). Oh yeah, you do. That’s the Limited Edition Star Wars Xbox 360 console designed to look, and sound, like R2-D2. Originally announced back at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con, and first seen by us (that is to say, our first time seeing it for ourselves) at Microsoft’s X’11 event alongside Kinect Star Wars, the Limited Edition bundle, which includes a C-3PO Golden controller as well as the a white Kinect sensor and the game itself, is available now, for $449.99 USD/CAD.

As for the quality of the game itself, I can’t really say whether older Star Wars fans out there will find pleasure in generically waving their outstretched fist as if they were holding a lightsaber or not. Nor can I say that they would appreciate the Galactic Dance Off mode, which, I’m pretty sure, is the first ever Star Wars dancing video game (or game mode). Perhaps the Rancor Rampage mode, which lets you smash your way through various Star Wars universe cities, will have a broader appeal, as will the Podracing mode. Well, either way, the bundle and game are available now, if that tickles your fancy.
