There’s nothing you should be expecting from This Means War. The story was your garden-variety action/comedy/romance, with primitive themes and logical nonsense aplenty. But, for some reason, I was able to look beneath that crummy outer layer, which was a thick one mind you, and just enjoy the humorous chemistry between the characters, and the amiable acting. Instead of what I usually do in these sorts of movies, which is slouch in my seat while trying to count the amount of people in the theater, I was engaged enough in the story (however cliché) to willingly take the ride.
