I’ve got Mustaine on the brain! Harmonix announced today that next week’s Rock Band Music Store update will feature the first track pack from thrash metal mavens Megadeth (it’s cool if I call them mavens, right?). The icons of heavy metal will be bringing a small selection of their major hits from the 90s and one track from their latest album, TH1RT3EN. Going in reverse chronological order, the tracks are Public Enemy No. 1, A Tout le Monde and a Pro guitar and bass upgrade compatible version of a song long played by Guitar Hero fans, Symphony of Destruction.
The tracks will be available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii on February 21st, except in Europe, where the PS3 update will be its usual day late. Megadeth Pack 01 will be available for $5.49 USD/£2.49 UK/€3.99 EU/440 Microsoft Points/550 Wii Points. The tracks will also be available individually, for their usual $2 USD equivalent each, while the Pro upgrade will be it usual $1 USD per compatible track.
