The name was not the most ridiculous part of The Manchu Eagle Murder Caper Mystery. I was never sure while watching it whether the movie wanted to be taken seriously. There were many scenes, and certain dialogue sections that were all too wacky, but then at the same time, it tried to be this murder mystery film. Now, you may be sitting there saying, “but I’ve never even heard of this movie.” Well, neither have I. And that usually does not bode well for films.
So, was it bad, you ask? That’s a good question, two points for you! Yes, yes it was. I was able to take an ounce (or so) of pleasure from the more madcap aspects of the film, but with a subpar concept, poor editing, and terrible lighting, it just isn’t a good film. And don’t even bother trying to say the name of the film ten times in rapid succession as your tongue will get tied so far out of proportion that even your mouth won’t want to associate with you anymore. It just isn’t worth it! Instead, try this one for size: How can a clam cram in a clean cream can?
Good luck!
