  • Director: Morgan Spurlock
  • Producer: Morgan Spurlock, Jeremy Chilnick, Abbie Hurewitz, Keith Calder, Jessica Wu
  • Distributor: Sony Pictures Classics
  • Running Time: 88 min
  • Rating: PG-13
  • Genre: Documentary

Being contractually obligated by companies to say/not say and do/not do certain things did hinder Morgan Spurlock from really digging deep into the murky waters of advertising. There’s so much about it I’d still like to know, and so much I dislike about it that I wish was explored. But, for a documentary about advertising, where the premise is finding companies to sponsor the film, The Greatest Movie Ever Sold was quite funny, and did offer some interesting insights into the business of advertising. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go buy everything I saw in that movie.

Verdict: Rent It
