I think it’s time Ubisoft stopped making movie-based video games. Does that mean I’m about to call the Tintin movie-based game awful and not worth touching with a 10-foot pole? No, actually. It has its graphical issues in the cutscenes and an aggravating lack of camera control in the free-roaming 3D sections (specifically, none), however I think it’s a great platforming title for youth. Having grown up watching the Tintin cartoon, that conclusion leaves me disappointed, but the gameplay extends so far beyond the story that it’s actually a serious value purchase, at least for if you’re buying for kids.
