My thoughts on Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows are almost identical to the ones I had for the first movie in the series. Sure it looked pretty, the writing was moderately entertaining, and the action offered short spurts of pizzazz, but overall the movie fell flat. Occasionally it hopped, in terms of amusement, but it never got enough air to stay afloat. And since it couldn’t hook me, I didn’t care about the characters, and it seemed somewhat lengthy. Overall this is just your standard, somewhat nonsensical, action flick, thinly veiled in wit and extravagant explosions.

Verdict: Forget It
