Those crazy Hungarians are at it again! This week, the folks at Digital Reality announced that they are getting back into the racing genre once more, but this time, they’ll be hitting the ground instead of the air (and that’s good, because solid things are easier to hit). The team will be releasing a family-friendly arcade racer on Xbox Live Arcade, the Playstation Network and PC, called Bang Bang Racing. The game will feature the usual assortment of vehicles and skins, plus a variety of exotic locations and tracks.

There’s nothing particularly out of the ordinary with the game’s features. You’ve got your standard obstacles – cones, exploding barrels – and environmental speed and traction traps. You can play solo or alongside up to three friends, but, as with Dead Block, there is no online multiplayer available (or not announced yet). The game does, however, connect to online Friends and public leaderboards, so your times and achievements can be compared with other players (but if this is really meant to be family-oriented, what’s happening inside your house will likely be more important). The game’s release date and pricing are still to be announced.
