Review

You can consider all of the issues I had with Winnie the Pooh null and void. Yes, the film is quite short and, aside from the large screen, that made it pointless to see in theatres. However, it is an absolutely marvelous, deliciously cute (I can say that, right?) film! So now that it’s available for home viewing, its truncated viewing length is no longer a problem, as you can watch it again and again without feeling like a dolt that’s just paid full price for half the movie experience. This is a movie well worth including in your collection.

Special Features

There’s nothing like a great set of special features to accompany an already great film, and the features included with the Winnie the Pooh Blu-ray/DVD combo pack certainly fit the bill. Both of the discs include The Ballad of Nessie short that was included with the film in theatres, plus the Mini Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: Pooh’s Balloon short. The DVD includes three deleted scenes introduced by one of the directors as well, but the Blu-ray includes two more, plus two “exclusive” extras, (a bit ridiculous to me, considering there’s probably plenty of extra space on the DVD).

Verdict: Buy It
