Oddly, Bridesmaids reminded me of Transformers. How? It feels like half the film was written by one of the writers, while the other half was written by the other. And considering the fact that the first hour was filled with overplayed awkward “comedy” that seemed to be nothing but a long-form version of many of Kristen Wiig’s SNL characters played by different actors, I can’t help but feel that she was responsible for that portion. That hour-long awkward borefest is followed by a real story, humour and enjoyable acting. While the movie becomes enjoyable, the first hour kills it.

Verdict: Forget It
