The Trip, a simple movie following two men who embark to the North of England to eat delicious food, was a pleasant excursion. There isn’t any real overarching drama, or, well, much intrigue in the plot, but this movie isn’t about dramatic vigor. It’s an amusing little ride. It’s the breathtaking Northern England scenery, the bantering (and bickering) that occurs between the two men during the trip, and all the delectable food that I want to put in my face. You’re just joining them for the journey, and it is a very funny and enjoyable one at that.

Verdict: Rent It
