Black Death was very standard for its genre and style. I mean, a lot of work was certainly put into the execution, but what was made was very archetypical of these sorts of historic films doused in bloody violence. Also, there was a lot of shaky camera work, which was rather annoying. Still, it wasn’t all that bad. I do enjoy me some Sean Bean, the action, though not anything all that spectacular, had a measure of fun to it, and the themes and eerie atmosphere made it if not at least somewhat engrossing.

Verdict: Rent It
