If you’re a fan of the Gears saga, then the question of whether or not to purchase the third and (hopefully) final installment is a no brainer. For me, I’ve grown tired of shooters, but the Gears trilogy will always hold a place in my carnage craving heart. And Gears of War 3, with its visceral textures, bone crunching, blood spurting effects, and overall superb graphics and gameplay, is a thoroughly entertaining conclusion. The only problems I had were regarding the repetitive and cheesy dialogue, unnecessary cut scenes, and the ending, which could’ve been better. Still, overall, it’s rather fantastic.
