Only a day after announcing a new DSi XL unit colour, Nintendo is bringing more handheld news by announcing that a new system update coming this November for the 3DS will allow users to record and share their own 3D videos direct from the system. The recording software update will also include new StreetPass challenges within the StreetPass Mii Plaza. Nintendo also confirmed that the first two Super Mario titles for the system will be releasing around the same time. November 13th will see the release of Super Mario 3D Land (yes, that’s what they ended up calling it) and December 4th will bring Mario Kart 7.
Additionally, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda and the upcoming release of Skyward Sword, Nintendo is offering free downloads of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition between September 28th and February 20, 2012. It will be available for download via the Nintendo eShop or DSiWare, for 3DS, DSi and DSi XL respectively, and features the original up-to-four-player multiplayer quest, now playable completely wirelessly, and a new single player mode.
