Late last week, Ubisoft announced that it has partnered with GameStop and Best Buy to offer two free downloadable songs to people who pre-order its upcoming educational guitar title, Rocksmith. The game, which already features a decent library of music from artists like The Animals, The Black Keys, Interpol and Nirvana, lets you plug any electric, and possibly electric acoustic, guitar into your console to help you learn to play.

The two downloadable songs will be Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Free Bird, as if learning to play guitar didn’t feel like a daunting enough task already, and Radiohead’s Bodysnatchers. They will be available for download on the same day as the game’s release, October 18th, but the offer will only be available while codes are available.
