Ubisoft announced today that it will be launching a multiplayer beta for Assassin’s Creed Revelations early next month. But if you’re an Xbox 360 or PC gamer hoping to take part, it looks like you might be out of luck, and the same might even go for regular Playstation Network users. That’s because between September 3rd and 11th Ubisoft will be giving exclusive beta access to Playstation Plus and Uplay members. The good news is that if you’re still just a regular Playstation Network member, it’s free to sign up to Uplay. You can just head over to www.uplay.com and sign up.

The multiplayer beta will include access to nine playable characters – The Sentinel, The Vanguard, The Guardian, The Vizier, The Thespian, The Deacon, The Bombardier, The Trickster, The Champion – three maps – Knight’s Hospital, Antioch, Constantinople – and four gameplay modes – Wanted, Manhunt and the new Deathmatch and Artifact Assault modes. And all that is only a taste of what will be in the final multiplayer content! Assassin’s Creed Revelations is scheduled to release on November 15th. Is there any chance of Xbox 360 or PC users getting access to a separate beta? Probably not…
