As it announced earlier this week, Sony confirmed that it has begun restoring almost all Playstation Network services in the Americas, Europe/PAL territories and Asia, excluding Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea. Today’s confirmation announcement once again included the “full” and “all” terminology of the last update, but considering the restoration does not include the Video on Demand service and Music Unlimited services on network-enabled Sony devices, I don’t understand why they don’t just say it’s another part of a phased restoration.
Semantics aside, Sony pointed out where we could find details on the “Welcome Back” package included with the restoration, so here it is. Here in North America, registered Playstation Network and Qriocity users can download and keep two of the following Playstation 3 titles – Dead Nation, inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD and Wipeout HD + Fury – , and two of the following PSP titles – LittleBigPlanet, ModNation Racers, Pursuit Force and Killzone Liberation – for free any time during the next 30 days, plus more. Complete details can be found on the U.S. Playstation Blog. Other regions well get similar packages, but to be sure about the details, check your local Playstation Blog.
