Majesco Entertainment announced today that it will be publishing a new Jaws video game for release this fall. Jaws: Ultimate Predator is being developed by Tectonic Studios for Wii and n-Space for Nintendo 3DS, and the companies say it will pay homage to the classic film. Both versions will put you in control of the massive great white shark, and will feature stories set 35 years after the events of the original movie. This is not the first title to give gamers control of the beast. Back in 2006 Majesco published Jaws Unleashed, which ended up being hilariously used in a MAD TV sketch later on.

On 3DS, Jaws: Ultimate Predator will have you swimming the seas to defeat a crew of shark hunters. The Wii version will also see you protecting your domain from humans, but sounds a little more Deadly Creatures-esque, with the gameplay description focusing more on deadly boss battles with tiger sharks, killer whales and sea serpents. Both versions will let you explore lush environments, and also feature a variety of deadly attacks. Jaws: Ultimate Predator is being executive produced by Microprose.
