Good luck finding the connections between these songs folks! Harmonix announced today that next week’s Rock Band Music Store update will feature a spatter of singles from Culture Club, Stone Temple Pilots, Phish and others. Culture Club’s 1982 hit Do You Really Want to Hurt Me makes the scene, as well as Faith No More’s From Out of Nowhere. Loverboy and Stone Temple Pilots also add to the Pro guitar and bass compatible track list with Working for the Weekend and Big Bang Baby respectively, and rounding things out is Phish, with Tweezer and a Pro guitar and bass compatible version of Stash.

The tracks will all be available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii on May 3rd, except in Europe, where the PS3 update will make its usual fashionably late entrance. The tracks will be available for the usual $1.99 USD/£.99 UK/€1.49 EU/160 Microsoft Points/200 Wii Points each, while the Pro guitar and bass upgrade will be its usual $0.99 USD equivalent per song. All that said, my challenge still stands! Anybody out there have a decent explanation as to what could possibly link these songs?
