After a short brain fart, I finally figured out why Harmonix sent out its announcement for next week’s Rock Band Music Store update today. Thanksgiving and Black Friday! Looks like somebody’s preparing to take the weekend off! With that in mind, next week’s update features a four track pack from Lynyrd Skynyrd, plus a couple of tracks from American and English rock bands 38 Special and Bad Company. The Lynyrd Skynyrd pack features Tuesday’s Gone plus Pro guitar and bass upgrade compatible versions of Saturday Night Special, Sweet Home Alabama (Live) and What’s Your Name?. The other two songs, which both have the Pro guitar and bass upgrade available, are 38 Special’s Hold On Loosely and Bad Company’s Can’t Get Enough.

The tracks will be available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii on November 30th, except in Europe, where the PS3 update will be on December 1st. Lynyrd Skynyrd Pack 01 will be available for $6.99 USD/£3.49 UK/€5.29 EU/560 Microsoft Points/700 Wii Points. As usual, all tracks are available individually for $1.99 USD/£.99 UK/€1.49 EU/160 Microsoft Points/200 Wii Points each, and the Pro guitar and bass upgrade costs $0.99 USD/£0.59 UK/€0.79 EU/80 Microsoft Points/100 Wii Points per song.
