Harmonix and MTV Games announced today that when Billy Joel’s music comes to video game platforms, it will be exclusive to Rock Band. Releasing among the first downloadable content for Rock Band 3, some of Joel’s most beloved songs will be available for download, featuring Keys and Pro Keys parts, beginning December 14th. Tracks already announced include Big Shot, Captain Jack, It’s Still Rock N Roll to Me, Movin’ Out, Only The Good Die Young, Piano Man, Pressure, Say Goodbye to Hollywood, The Entertainer and The Stranger. That’s a pretty solid list!

Explaining why he decided to go with Rock Band, Joel said, “The addition of the keyboard made me interested in bringing my music to Rock Band. The game introduces music to an enthusiastic audience in a powerful way, and now also helps players get a grasp on the fundamentals of the keyboard.” The price and arrangement of the tracks has not yet been announced, but they will be at a later date. In the mean time, Harmonix also released a new overview video for the new Pro Guitar mode and guitar accessories. While it may not be keyboard, I’d still highly suggest checking it out.
