I should say straight away that Sin Nombre will not leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. In fact, you will feel quite the opposite (what’s the opposite of fuzzy?). This movie of converging stories is a harsh look at the experiences of different people struggling to survive against the odds. Whether it’s escaping from a gang, or just trying to cross a border to be with one’s family, danger and heartbreak lurk around every corner. It’s a powerful and distressing movie, containing wonderful acting, cinematography, and music. Most importantly, it’s a movie I will definitely watch again.

Verdict: Buy It
