- PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii
It looks like there’s yet another new player in the music/rhythm video game and software market. Development studio Zivix recently announced the release of their new music/rhythm game, Jam Party: Be The Music, which it actually calls a Music Creation title. It’s available for Windows-based PCs now, and is likely coming for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii. With 20 or so musical “Jams” in a number of genres, each with numerous tracks for players to rearrange, the ability to record, edit and save performances (even to MP3), and compatibility with keyboard and mouse or Rock Band and Guitar Hero USB-based guitars Jam Party actually sounds pretty robust, though the screenshots give a different impression.
Nonetheless, as is the case with most titles like this, the limitations only come down to how creative you can be and the time you’re willing to put into tweaking the sound. Jam Party includes sounds for drums, guitars, keyboards, piano, saxophones, soundscapes and even lets you record your own vocals. We’re hoping to learn more about the game over the next couple of weeks. In the mean time, you can check out this video showing off a jam from the folks at Peavey.com.
