Humor is all Hot Tub Time Machine had going for it. This movie about four people who, after a night of mad drinking, end up back in the mid-eighties to relive some of their past experiences would’ve been really bad if it wasn’t hilarious. The acting was mostly dumb and the story was idiotic, but really, what do you expect? I mean, it was annoying how the movie could not make up its mind whether or not the characters could alter events, but I’ll allow the stupidity, because the mix of silly humor and a slew of 80’s references worked.

Verdict: Rent It
