Gamers rejoice! Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is the best video game to film adaptation released in a long time. The action is cool, the story and production include numerous elements from the video game trilogy (including the all-important platforming and comedy elements) while still introducing brand new plot points and twists, and the acting, for the most part, was fantastic. It won’t blow away moviegoers unfamiliar with the franchise, but it’s a must see for those who are, especially because they’ll recognize the video game elements. I’m already looking forward to getting the DVD when it releases.
