Next week’s Rock Band Music Store update will be exclusively Jimi Hendrix, in more ways than one. As of this announcement, Jimi Hendrix’s music is now exclusive to the Rock Band franchise. The update features Hendrix’s Axis: Bold As Love album, minus the “spoken word/sound sculpture” opening track EXP. According to Harmonix, that track is not suitable for gameplay. The 12 track album pack features Up From the Skies, Spanish Castle Magic, Wait Until Tomorrow, Ain’t No Telling, Little Wing, If 6 Was 9, You Got Me Floatin’, Castles Made of Sand, She’s So Fine, One Rainy Wish, Little Miss Lover and Bold As Love. Also available, as a single, will be Hendrix’s previously unavailable Valleys of Neptune.

The tracks will be available for 360 and Wii on March 30th, and for PS3 on April 1st. The album will be available for $19.99 USD/1600 Microsoft Points, but, as usual, all tracks will be available for individual purchase. Wii tracks are still only available for download individually, for 200 Wii Points each. Finally, only the tracks in bold will be available in the LEGO Rock Band Music Store, because of the game’s family-friendly censorship.
