District 9 is one of the best science fiction films released in years. I went in expecting to see a science fiction conspiracy theory story, in which a government is secretly turning its citizens into “aliens” for experimentation, but was quite pleasantly surprised. The film has a far better, deeper and more meaningful story, and really gets you thinking about human nature, social groups and survival instincts. I’d say more, but I don’t want to give anything away because you have to see this for yourself! This one is worth adding to your home collection.

Verdict: Buy It
